The Gogebic Range Broadband Committee held their Internet Fair at the Mercer Community Center. Presentations were given on online education, home security, working from home, internet safety and broadband expansion projects. A number of exhibitors also had a chance to talk with participants about their technology services. About 60 attended this year’s Fair and had a chance to register for a free iPad given away by the Broadband Committee. Dee Whinnery of Indianapolis, Indiana was the winner of the iPad. Dee and her husband have been camping and visiting friends in Mercer for a couple weeks. Dee said they intend to return again to Mercer, as they love the area.
